Johnny Georges is a heck of an innovator - if what he claims is true. To go from using 25,000 gallons of water per new tree per year to only 800 gallons? That's a big claim, but a pretty revolutionary one if it works.
Trouble is, he's not much of a pitch-man. He just about gets through his pitch (with a few stumbles), but then has to field a lot of questions from the Sharks who are still trying to get a grip on what the Tree-T-Pee actually does. Not surprising, considering the Sharks are hardly well-versed in the finer points of agriculture.
When it comes to selling the Tree-T-Pee, Johnny says he's trying to do right by his fellow farmers by pricing them each under $5. He knows the farmers are buying them by the thousand, and that they won't bite if the price is too high. The Sharks don't understand his thinking and encourage him to sell at a higher margin. That proposition has Johnny seemingly confused AND morally offended.
The deal clicks into place pretty quickly in this segment. JP DeJoria jumps in and offers Johnny everything he asked for, and Johnny accepts right away.
The segment ends with a very touching tribute from Johnny to his now-passed father. This one's a tear jerker.
