1. Realistically recreates the sensation of surfing... on wheels.
2. Allows you to get the surfing experience even if you don't live anywhere near an ocean.
3. Can also be paired with a "Street Sweeper" that recreates a standing paddleboard.
These guys made a "splash" coming into the tank on their Hamboards! (Ugh, I hate myself for that pun... but, c'mon, it was right there.)
Such a "rad" product - the design is beautiful and the look of the family riding their boards around Southern California is almost sales-pitch enough. I want to be in that family! Gimme one!
The "pitch" really gets underway when their entrepreneur brother-in-law, Donny, jumps in with the numbers.
Kevin, though, makes a great point. The skateboard industry can be measured in hundreds of millions of dollars. If the Hamborg had come in with an idea of how to tap into that market, and all they needed was the cash from Uncle Kevin to get them there, he might have invested. Occassionally, the Sharks will agree to help someone with their business, but for the most part (especially with niche, high-end products) they want smooth sailing for their money. So it's a valid point.
Daymond and Robert both make offers, but BOY - Robert came in HOT. He wanted a big piece of Hamboards and he was willing to pay BIG for it. His enthusiasm paid off and he walked away with 30% of Hamboards for a whopping $300,000.
