Cheek'd did not get an investment from the Sharks.
1. A dating service that mixes in-person interaction with online set-ups.
2. If you see someone you like on the street, hand them your Cheek'd card - they can use that to find your profile on Cheek'd and reciprocate if they're interested.
"The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."
This is Robert's assessment of Cheek'd founder Lori Cheek - and it's accurate. However, I would posit that the same idea can be used to assess the producers/casting directors of Shark Tank: if you keep bringing on "delusional" entrepreneurs with no sales and a "flawed business plan", they will continue to NOT get investments.
Yes, there's that car crash appeal that you get from watching someone come into the Tank and get their hopes and dreams crushed right before your very eyes, but after awhile it loses its appeal.
I would love to the see the producers bring on entrepreneurs with more promise in the future. This season we've been getting about 3 duds to every 1 "hero product". Why not flip that and give us people to root for, instead of people like Lori Cheek who have half-baked ideas and no chance of getting an investment?
Needless to say, Cheek'd did not receive an investment, or anything approaching any positive feedback. The best that can be said is that Barbara thinks Lori IS a good entrepreneur, but has her teeth sunk into the wrong business.
