Did anyone else start to feel itchy just watching this segment? My takeaway: that one female bed bug can lay up to 500 eggs. Shiver.
It's no wonder these two dynamos got an (unprecedented) investment from all five Sharks. I don't think I've EVER seen a segment where the entrepreneurs were batting 1000 on all the questions that usually trip people up. They knew their numbers, they had sales, they had a variety of products, they had trials, and they had big orders. They were swatting down Sharks like they were pesky bed bugs!
Here's the big reveal: they turned down a $5 million offer for the trademarks and patents on Buggy Beds. These ladies mean business.
After that, commandeers the room, asking Maria and Veronica to leave the room so they can have a Sharks-only meeting. He knows they will all want to make offers, so why not all go in together?
After the ladies come back into the Tank, the offers begin flying. This has to be the Sharks at their LEAST greedy - Kevin offers $250,000 for a 25% stake. Daymond comes in with him. Mark comes in on it, then Robert. Then finally Barbara relents and goes in too, making this an historic segment. All five Sharks together, living in harmony, helping to rid the world of bed bugs.
