Well here's something I've never seen before. The Sharks being forgiving for once!
After hearing that Curtis and Matt are running in the red right now, the Sharks naturally are upset and want to know why. Matt and Curtis explain that they had some unscrupulous retailers when they first started, who were undercutting everyone else, so they had to stop selling in order to flush those items out of the market and start again.
What's amazing is that after this story - the Sharks nod their heads and say "Fair enough", and move on. I don't think I've ever seen that before! Usually they will find a weakness like that and harp on it for 13 minutes before all finally going out.
However, moving on, it seems there are other problems with Bellybuds as well. They don't have a patent, they have $1.3 million worth of product sitting in a warehouse, and they've valued their company at $4 million with, honestly, no sales to back that up. That's a lot of red flags for the Sharks.
So, despite their early forgiveness, in short order all five Sharks say bye-bye to Bellybuds.
